FANTASTIC HOLIDAYS

at a wide, sandy beach

Lubiatowo

Lubiatowo is a small village located by the sea. In recent years it has gained more and more popularity among tourists thanks to its picturesque landscape, surrounded by forests. It is a perfect place for those who seek peace and quiet and value contact with nature. The road to the beach runs through a forest, which is – depending on the season – full of berries, blueberries or mushrooms, making the walk or bicycle ride very pleasant.
The area around Lubiatowo is inhabited by various animal species. Here you can see e.g. deer, hares, foxes and wild boars. In the forests there are several cycling paths leading to many beautiful places. In the centre of the village there’s a horse riding school, which organises riding lessons, rides for children and horse riding expeditions for experienced riders. There are three groceries to cater for everyday needs, as well as restaurant facilities open in high season, out of which we highly recommend restaurant Bałtycka 6. About 1,5 km away from Lubiatowo there is Kopalińskie Lake, which is an ideal place for fishing.

The Beach

Stretching for miles, clean, wide (up to 60 meters in some places), with fine, white sand and very few tourists in comparison to other nearby holiday resorts – the beach in Lubiatowo is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful beaches by the Baltic Sea.
Whatever the time of year, even in high season, here is where you can relax away from the crowds and hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy the air full of iodine and the refreshing sea breeze on an unspoilt beach.

Places nearby

A few kilometres away from Lubiatowo, there is Choczewo – a town, where you can go shopping in a supermarket and eat out.
Gniewino is a a beautiful village, offering different attractions, such as swimming pool, a bowling alley, a movie theatre, or an observation tower.
You can go canoeing down the Piaśnica River, from Żarnowieckie lake to the Baltic Sea.

Łeba – a very popular tourist resort with moving dunes of the Słowiński National Park. It also offers a very popular attraction for the youngest – a dinosaur park.
Some other well-known, nearby beach resorts are Dębki and Białogóra, which offer a variety of entertainment, especially for teenagers.
Driving a little bit farther you will reach Hel Peninsula with Władysławowo, Jastarnia and Hel, or moving south- tricity (Gdańsk, Gdynia and Sopot), which attract tourists from all over the world.

Lębork and Wejherowo are two minor towns (about 50.000 inhabitants), away from the coast, but also worth visiting.

There are also many other attractions, such as the lighthouse in Stilo or Choczewskie Lake.

Tourist trails

Green trail, 10 km long, runs around Choczewskie Lake to Starbienino. The scenic route leads through wind farms, offering places to rest. There are also information boards set along the path.

Yellow trail, 9 km long, starting just as you pass Choczewo, goes through Kierzkowo towards forester’s lodge in Szklana Huta, where the trail crosses the blue one. It ends in the forest, on the border with Krokowa County. You can take the trail to go to the the sea, avoiding Choczewo-Lubiatowo road, which tends to be busy in high season.

Blue trail, 13 km long, starts at the car park next to Osieki (here you can leave your car and get on your bike). It leads to a forest path and reaches Lubiatowo Dunes further north, going along the coast, Lubiatowo and Kopalino, finally cutting the yellow trail. Taking the blue trail you can admire beautiful forests, the dunes, pine woods and an old German cemetery.

Orange
trial, 22.5 km long, starts at the Amber Promenade (hiking and cycling path connecting the villages Kopalino-Lubiatowo) and runs through farm tourist villages: Kopalino, Sasino and Słajszewo. Here you can see the Stilo lighthouse and mountain pines growing on the dunes, as well as the ruins of a watermill. The trail ends in Sasino village, on the border with the Wicko Count.
